Local campaigner Sue Sterling as being chosen as the Liberal Democrat candidate for the by-election on May 2nd. Sue has pledged to be a different kind of local councillor - one who keeps in touch all year round, and most of all is available for local people. She will stand up for our area and give support to create a thriving business community: Tackling empty shops in the town centre. Campaigning to protect Houghton library. Support the gym and other local amenities.
