Newcastle First - Plan to Build 1000s of Houses in the Outer West

Newcastle City Council has announced plans to build huge numbers of homes.

The development document was initiated and developed under the Lib Dems and signed off in secret by the new Labour administration. It commits the council to build 21,000 houses between now and 2030. A map has been released showing that houses will be built next to Lemington Rise, on the former Lemington Middle School site, on land next to Burnham Avenue, on the Lemington Riverside Primary School site and Lemington Allotments.
