Time to fight for rural Britain

Both Labour and Conservatives have failed the countryside. Conservatives will reward councils for building over it. Neither Labour nor Tory care about impact of their policies on small towns and villages. They have decimated the post office network. Conservative plans to slash public spending will make things worse. Liberal Democrats have strong tradition of delivering for rural communities. We will bring fairer taxes, more jobs and investment in schools. We will clean up politics. We will take action to bring lower petrol prices, more affordable housing, protection from greedy developers, more police on patrol, protect frontline NHS services, get a fair deal for farmers and fishermen.
