I care passionately about Sunderland - this is where I live and work and where I raised my four children.

I am proud of the new jobs and investment since Labour came to power. Through my job as a trade union officer, I have seen at first hand the difference a Labour Government has made. It has transformed Sunderland from the industrial wasteland left by the Tories and made it the 21st century city we see today.

Now it is vital to build on our achievements and ensure our people can provide a good life for their families and I want to play my part as your MP to fight for a great future for us all.
