I have lived in Dresden for 37 years and have always been involved in various aspects of the community. At present, I am the Secretary of Dresden Residents Association and the Treasurer of the Queens Park Partnership in Longton Park. I am also a Neighbourhood Watch Co-ordinator in Sutherland Avenue, where I live. I was born in Stoke on Trent and am what my dear old dad would have called”A True Neck-ender”. Many of you will already know me, having travelled regularly on coach trips which I organised every month for over 25 years to raise funds for various schools and charities. Or, you may have attended one of the many social functions which I helped to organise to raise funds for the senior citizens Christmas parties held at Dresden Scout and Community Centre for many years. Now, I am heavily involved in the organisation of all the wonderful events taking place in Longton Park throughout the year. Nothing gives me more pleasure than to see people of all ages enjoying the benefits of social activities which I have helped to organise.
