I take every opportunity to speak up for local jobs. The policies of the other parties would put them at risk. I want to keep up the investment I have fought for in local services like health, school and policing, not the savage cuts which both Tories and Liberal Democrats have called for. The Lib Dems have refused to rule out cuts to what they call "the sacred cow of the NHS". Newspaper reports suggest the Lib Dems plan to allow a Tory government if there is a hung Parliament.
