Ed Northover - my plans for Leytonstone
First leaflet
I am a local, unlike any of the other main candidates for Leyton & Wanstead. I live off Leytonstone High Road and am saddened by the swift decline of our area. We need a clear vision for Leytonstone before it is too late. Here is what I want to see:
- Review of the one-way system
- Introduction of 30 minutes free parking bays on the High Road
- Investment in the High Road between Maryland station and the bridge
- Setting up a business forum in Thatched House
- Working with TfL to achieve funding for the disgraceful pedestrian bridges across the A12
- Lobbying for increased frequency of the 257 bus service
- Opposing the conversion of any more family homes into flats and tackling those leaving mattresses and rubbish in their front gardens
Second leaflet
Discusses how Northover is a local resident; criticises Labour's "local" candidate for actually living in East Sussex; describes the disarray of the local Liberal Democrats; goes into more detail on the issue of the awful A12 bridges.
