"handwritten" letter from Bridget Fox

Dear friend

I've really enjoyed calling around local homes in the last few weeks. It's been really great to meet old friends and make so many new ones!

Working with local people and local organisations to get a better deal for our area is what makes it all worthwhile for me.

I'm proud of what I've achieved with local people here in Islington and Finsbury

Together we saved Essex Road Post Office from Labour's cuts.

I've also campaigned for a new safer crossing opposite Angel Tube station, and we're fighting hard to save the maternity and A+E departments at Whittington Hospital, and to save Finsbury Health Centre.

Most people agree that the Labour government has been a grave disappointment.

Many agree with Lib dem leader Nick Clegg and me that we need real change in Britain.

Local people have a clear choice - on May 7th either I will be our new Lib Dem MP or we will have a Labour MP. No other result is possible.

At the last General Election, this is how people voted: Gordon Brown's Labour 12,345 Lib Dem Bridget Fox 11,861 (only 484 votes to win!) Conservatives - they can't win - just 4594

In our area a vote for the third place Conservatives will just help Labour back in. With your help, Labour can be beaten here. but I need your vote to do it.

I am asking you to judge me on my record of delivery and hard work for our area.

Together with Susan Buchanan, Emily fieran-reed and Daniel Nicholls, I'll be a strong voice for people in St Mary's ward and working with Nick Clegg I'll stand up for you and our area in Parliament.

Please lend me your support on Thursday - I'll be an MP you can be proud of.

with thanks and best wishes bridget fox

ps please remember that my fight isn't against the other parties, it's for Islington, and everyone who lives here. The election is going to be very close - your vote could be the one that decides who wins
