Stephen Jenkins

Nick Clegg's tax plan means that you will pay no tax on the first £10,000 you earn - cutting most tax bills by £700.

Stephen Jenkins, the LibDem candidate at the general election, calls today for the Mayor of London and Bromley Council to start thinking big for Beckenham. Stephen comments, "Beckenham is a major transport hub that deserves its share of modern, well planned facilities."

"I know that modernising will not be a quick job. If this is to be successful, it will take many years. If I am elected your MP, I will have the time and stamina, to see this major project through to completion," says Stephen. "A young, vigorous MP is what Beckenham needs this time."

I have lived in Bromley for eight years. I live with my wife Caroline and our two cats. My hobbies include rugby, football, reading, listening to music and cooking. I work as a University Manager.

The Liberal Democrats will take action to protect frontline services.

We will put more police on patrol, restore the peneions' earnings link and deliver fair pay for the armed forces.

We can make this pledge because we have identified real savings to pay for it.

The Lib Dems are the only party with a plan to balance the country's books after the recession.
