I've lived all my life on the Wirral; I am one of six children, brought up mainly on social security by a very caring mother. I Left school at 15 with no qualifications to be an apprentice toolmaker. Went to night school to study engineering and won prozes every year with distinctions. Went on to gained a B.Sc.Mech.Eng.Hons. In 1972, started my own business and become the top fitted kitchen retailer in the area. I have retired now and want to give something back to the community and the social state to which I owe my success.
