Since Labour came to power in 1997, we have saved the NHS, invested in schools and given families and older people a better standard of living.

Although the Labour Government has invested in Southend, the Conservatives have opposed us and been wrong on the issues. Thanks to Labour, Southend has Sure Start Centres, Neighbourhood Police Teams, better schools and a new university campus. Southend's Tory Council and MPs would put all this at risk. Don't let them!

Labour works for Southend and, as your MP, I will work with my party to make sure that you and our town have a better future.
