Let down by Labour
After 13 years, more and more people across our area are feeling LET DOWN BY LABOUR
Labour tax the poorest -- Thousands of Southwark's poorest residents were hit hard by Gordon Brown's 10p tax hike. Many saw it as a final betrayal. Labour oppose Lib Dem plans to scrap the unfair council tax.
Labour cut services -- Labour shut eleven post offices across Southwark, two police stations and Guy's A&E. Labour now want to cut £90million from the local NHS. They plan to spend billions on new nuclear weapons.
Labour let down estates -- Labour MPs blocked Simon Hughes' new law to get more money for councils and housing associations to repair local estates, and to stop leaseholders being landed with big bills.
