Always Red and Green I've long been involved in environmental politics [...] we will only meet the climate change challenge through active government invervention [...] we are serious about the transition to a low-carbon economy and we will make it happen.
What a difference a generation makes [...] I was born in Beckenham, went to school in Croydon and have spent all my adult life working in eastern England [...]
Public Services Matter I've worked in both the private and public sectors and run my own business [...] I work closely with Government ministers and MPs on behalf of UNISON's 1.4 million members, mostly low-paid women.
Older people and the Health Service [...] I believe strongly in the founding principles of the NHS [...] I think that Labour's plan for a National Care Service is a huge opportunity to establish the final part of the welfare state [...]
Time for a new politics [...] if Labour wins this election I will support the move to the alternative vote system.
Experienced and Independent I'm Labour through and through - but that doesn't mean I agree with everything Labour ministers do [...] Cambridge people need an experienced representative who can stand up to party pressure [...]
